Service Description
Meditation Training – Learn to Make It Your Own This one-hour session (available in person or virtually) is designed to demystify meditation and give you a strong, practical foundation to begin—or deepen—your own practice. Maybe you’ve tried to meditate before and felt like you “couldn’t clear your mind.” You’re not alone—and that idea is one of the biggest myths about meditation. In truth, thoughts aren’t the problem. They’re part of the process. In this session, you’ll learn how to observe your thoughts without getting caught in them—and why that simple shift is so powerful. You’ll learn a basic meditation technique you can begin using right away. We’ll explore different types and formats of meditation and how to identify what suits you best. We’ll also break down common misconceptions, including the idea that “clearing your mind” is the goal. You’ll see how bringing meditative awareness into your everyday life can change the way you experience yourself and your surroundings. We’ll also discuss how some apps and external tools, while helpful initially, can lead to long-term dependence and slow your deeper progress. The goal of this session is to help you become self-sufficient in your practice—so that joining a group or using a tool becomes a choice, not a requirement. Meditation is a journey that countless others have walked before you. It’s not about doing it perfectly—it’s about learning to show up for yourself with presence, patience, and curiosity. You’ll leave this session with a clearer understanding of how meditation works, what it can offer, and how to make it a natural part of your life. Ongoing support is available if you’d like to continue growing your practice over time.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens, and I understand that sometimes plans need to change. When you schedule a meditation session, that time is set aside specifically for you and may prevent someone else from booking. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours, arriving more than 10 minutes late, or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund. If I need to cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund. If something comes up and you need to reschedule, you’re welcome to do so outside the 24-hour window, and we’ll apply your booking to a future date that works for both of us. Please note: Refunds are not issued based on personal preferences or perceptions of how the session went. Meditation is a personal process, and your experience may vary from session to session. Whether it feels relaxing, challenging, unclear, or unexpectedly emotional, each experience has value—and is part of the larger journey of building a sustainable, personal practice.
